News Home More from News of the North Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Fairbanks police released details Wednesday regarding the death of a man who, after attempting to elude police, drove into a gravel pit filled with water. At about 3:30 am Wednesday, a Fairbanks Police Officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the driver of a Toyota Corolla near Airport Way and Market Street. The officer suspected that the driver, later identified as 34-year-old Carl Robert Ravenscroft, was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
