ALASKA (Your Alaska Link) - A groundbreaking ceremony was held to celebrate a big renovation project at a library in Fairbanks. The Noel Wein Library in Fairbanks closed last month -- so that renovation work can get underway. A new teen center is slated to be added at the library, along with a business center, and a cafe. The Berry Room for kids will also be expanded in Fairbanks. Tikchik Narrows Lodge in Bristol Bay has been sold to a native of Bethel. Powers Land Brokerage reports the old owner is retiring and will stay on for a while to help with the transition.
